nVIDIA hosted a press conference on June 1st, and most of it was about their GPU. Their official press release talked about the collaboration between nVIDIA and Supermicro on a new server system. However, when we got there, they were talking about some new features supporting Windows 7. Personally, I was more interested in the ION systems being displayed at the scene. The Netops shown here are AsRock ION 330, Acer AspireRevo, Colorful iHTPC, MSI Wind Box D200, Mouse Computer LM-M1205, Pegatron IPP7A-CP and Foxconn[JTX-N]. An interesting note is that even though all of these Netops are built on the ION architecture, different companies have very different approaches when it comes to their product design. For example, MSI's D200 still includes an optical drive when Acer ditched it for a much reduced size. Also, while both of these companies include HDMI ports, Acer uses D-sub while MSI opts for DVI. Nevertheless, we expected to see more Taiwanese companies put forward ION products.
